Historical first day of Melges 24 fleet racing is behind the 14 boat fleet here in Tallinn! Nine boats from Finland, three from Estonia and 1 from Sweden and Norway. Besides the Finnish ranking event the race is the Estonian Championship + the European ranking event.
Unbelievable weather - sunshine, over 20 degrees and wind filling from SW to W with a velocity of 2 - 5 m/s. So diffucult conditions because the wind was partly blowing from the mainland.
Being 16th overall in the Worlds Tönu Töniste & co, Lenny (EST 646), continued their solid performance - 4 times the line honours! Behind Lenny Land Rover (FIN529) and Sitting Duck (SWE 508) are fighting for the silver with equal points after the first day.
