Very strong winds today - N to NE winds with a velocity of apprx. 30 to even 45 knots! The result today was one sunken boat, 5 broken masts, several boat and sail failures. Unfortunately also one sailor broke his/her back.
But the top ten goes fast in light, medium and heavy wind. The Estonians and Finns had a interesting and hand full day. FIN 650 Pohjola-Fonecta Finder broke their main sail second top batten and batten pocket as a result of disasterous gype appx. 10 minutes before the start + FIN 328 Elsa ripped their jib before the first upwind mark and couldn´t continue sailing.
Our best boat is Lenny EST 646 continuing good performance. Now lying 7th overall. The best Finnish boat is EST 529 / Midnight Sun Sailing One lying 29th overall with 146points.
