A excellent result from the AGM held in Paris on the 6th of October. The Excecutive Committee of the International Melges 24 Association decided that the 2010 World Championship will be held in Tallinn, Estonia! Prelimary the race will be held in early August. The Worlds 2010 web site will be opened this year to give everyone some more information.
NOTE: Next year(2008) there will be two Finnish Melges24 ranking events in Tallinn.
Also the Executive Committee changed to have a Finnish emphasize - Martin Finell continues as the European Member but Tomi Hakola was elected as the IMCA secretary (Tomi was the European member from 2002 to 2004 + is the chairman of the Finnish Fleet). Günter Tzeschlock from Germany was elected as chairman of the IMCA. Günter has been for many years the chairman of the German fleet + the secretary of the IMCA.
