Rock City EST-761 wins the extremely tight first Finnish Estonian Melges 24 ranking 1 here in Espoo.
The 18 boat fleet had two excellent sailing days just outside Espoo. Two days of sunshine from blue sky, winds from E with a velocity of 8 to 24 knots gave the fleet good sailing conditions. Best of all 8 races in two days.
"Rock City" EST 761 helmed by Tiit Vihul won the first ranking event from the overnight leader "Lumi" FIN 651 helmed by Kristian Raij with only two points. Lumi had two bad starts today. They dropped to overall 2nd with the same points as overall third "Zuxu" EST 791 helmed by Tiit Vihul. Lumi´s second place was secured by two 2nd place finishes.
The next ranking event will be just two weeks from now also in Espoo.
