Rain, rain, rain was the start for today. But luckily when the fleet headed out to the race course the clouds opened up and we even got some light:-)
Same race course area but a little different sailing conditions. Wind from NE-E with a velocity of 16 - 20 knots. Waves were appr 0,5-1 meters high. The other boat classes which were on the same race and race area had some difficulties. The Melges24 fleet blasted both upwind and downwind(appr 13 to 16 knots). Great fun!
The racing started were it stopped yesterday - tight at the top as usually. Race four was from the start to the finish in the command on HP FIN645 helmed by Freddy Markelin. Second Rock City EST761 helmed by Tiit Vihul and third Zuxu EST 791 helmed by Jaak Jõgi. Race five instead was the domination of Betfair pwd by Flow FIN742 helmed by Tomi Hakola. The last race - race six started off to be a race for HP but the third and last gennaker take down was disasterous. This gave RockCity a chance to take the win for this race and for the entire competition. Third Zuxu and Betfair pwd by Flow fourth. Betfair pwd by Flow and Zuxu had a long fight in the protest hearing regarding a top mark insident in the last race.
Final results,
1st Rock City EST761
2nd Betfair pwd by Flow FIN742
